1. Common pressure levels: The pressure levels of the ground blowout preventer controller include 14MPa, 21MPa, 35MPa, 70MPa, 105MPa, etc. These different pressure levels can meet the needs of different working conditions from low-pressure wells to ultra-high pressure and high-temperature deep wells. For example, surface blowout preventer controllers ranging from 14MPa to 21MPa may be sufficient to handle wellhead pressure for some shallow and low-pressure production wells, while blowout preventer grades are used for deepwater high-pressure wells and deepwater wells with complex geological conditions. High pressure of 70MPa to 105MPa may be required.

The basis for determining the pressure level is mainly based on the expected wellhead pressure of the well, which is related to factors such as reservoir depth, formation pressure, and fluid properties. Deeper oil reservoirs typically have higher formation pressures and require higher pressure levels from surface blowout preventer controllers. In addition, if the well contains a large amount of high-pressure gas such as natural gas, or if it is extracted in a high-temperature environment (because high temperature increases fluid pressure), the pressure level of the surface blowout preventer controller will also be very high.
3. Marking and selection: The pressure rating of the ground blowout preventer controller is usually clearly marked on the equipment. When selecting a ground blowout preventer controller, it should match the actual pressure inside the well. If the pressure level is too low, when the wellhead pressure exceeds the capacity of the surface blowout preventer controller, the surface blowout preventer controller will fail, leading to a blowout accident. Excessive pressure levels can increase equipment costs and generate waste resources.
